Standard 1 (lvl 3) LIS provides opportunities for students to show an appreciation for literature by electing to read for pleasure and expressing an interest in various literary genres.

I have registered again this year for Six Flags Read to Succeed where the students can read 8 books and get free tickets for Six Flags.

Standard 4 (lvl 4) LIS consistently purchases a wide variety of genres and multicultural materials that support the curriculum.
This images are of the book orders that I place each year. An average of $10,000 is spent each year through district allocated funds, donations, and Scholastic book fair dollars. All of these books are selected and processed by me. Usually before or after school due to classes during school hours. The program to catalog them does not work outside the school.

Standard 4 (lvl 4) 3. LIS uses several formal and informal evaluation techniques on a regular basis in making decisions related to improving the library program.
The top image is of an Atriuum report that tracks when the books were last checked out. I look at this report to see if their are books that need to be removed from the collection because they are not used.
The second image is of a class' library cards. I put the students ZPD on the bottom on their cards so that both they and I can make sure they are checking out the right books for their reading level.

This year the MAPS classes are giving awards and I conducted research to see which students 2nd-5th were excelling in AR. I posted this data on the outside wall of the library for the following 9 weeks.
