Hello! It's Mrs. Allen! The 2021 school year will be my 6th year at Macon-Hall Elementary! Time flies when you are having fun!
Here is a little information about me, Michelle Allen. I have been a children's librarian for about 21 years. I have a Master's Degree in Library Science and worked many years at the Memphis Public Library performing storytime, teaching technology skills, and coming up with interesting programming for school-aged children. I love children's books (especially picture books) and young adult literature. My favorite was doing storytime for babies! I created a website for that (though I don't post anymore, you can find it here: Babies Love Books). Before I came to Macon-Hall, I was the assistant manager in the Children's Department of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. However, I didn't get to work directly with children anymore, so I went back to school to become a Teacher Librarian! I love teaching the students at Macon-Hall Elementary all I know about the wonderful world of books and reading! I always hope our time together is productive, educational and fun! |
